Caribbean Island Grand Anse, Grenada

A Nomadlicious Favorite

Meet Grenada

Take in breathtaking views of the Caribbean’s finest beaches, mountains & waterfalls.

Grenada is ranked as one of the top 8 safest out of all 26 Caribbean countries by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime.  Its stunning mountainous landscape with over 45 beaches and 18 waterfalls makes it a dream for nature lovers.  And with no poisonous animals on the island, you can safely explore this country’s vast beauty.

Since it is somewhat sheltered from the hurricane belt, its harbors are often used by sailors in the Caribbean to protect their yachts during hurricanes.  Furthermore, Grenada has some of the cleanest air ranking as the #2 country with the cleanest air in the world and one of only 7 countries to pass the World Health Organization’s clean air guidelines in 2025.

All the reasons why we chose this fabulous island out of all other Caribbean islands.

Relax on world class Grand Anse, Magazine, La Sagesse and Paradise beach, voted the #1 beach in the Caribbean by USA Today.

View and hike the stunning mountainous terrain.

Visit the street market, shops and historical spots in the capital of St George.

Enjoy the island nightlife with dinner, music and dancing.

Immerse yourself in nature with the Mona monkeys in and around Etang National Park, the 18 waterfalls, beautiful botanicals and fresh produce.

I stayed here for 2 months and the views were absolutely breathtaking. There’s a farmstand that’s only a 5 minute walk to the bottom of the hill where you can get fresh plantains, grapefruit, papaya, bananas, sweet potatoes, grilled corn and more every day.

Grand Anse beach is the most beautiful soft white sandy beach I’ve ever stepped foot on with a amazing backdrop of mountainous terrain in the distance. I fell in love with soca music here.

You can see most of the island with a 30 minute drive in any direction. 1 hour to get to the northern most tip. I don’t feel a pull to visit any other islands and some of them aren’t safe. If I want to visit a Caribbean island again, it will hands down be Grenada.
